Wee… I got 2 weeks off from “work”. So to say. My client moved the project 2 weeks into the future.

Maybe now I got some more time to write here, and make a new Code Snippet tutorial!

Yeah, that is probably how YOU are going to look after reading this.

I keep frikin’ promising that I will soon have time. But you have to understand my current “employer”, shall I say rather “client”. He always comes up with some new idea, some new thing here, one tiny weenie little problem on that page and if I have some spare time maybe I can help on that other website.

I don’t say no, because he pay’s well and frankly I need the money.

(Look up, what did I tell ‘ya? You’re facepalming right now!, aren’t you!)

And it is for YOUR benefit too. I am putting lots of money into Portico, paying modelers, programmers and other people to give me exactly what I need. Why? Because I’m picky and most people don’t tolerate pickiness without being paid. So I can’t get free models, sounds and stuff because people get angry at me for telling them the 5000th time to change this and that and make that little thingy there a little smaller.

What do I have in mind for keeping you entertained weekly? Originally I was planning on “Nerd TV”, weekly posts to give you some tip on what new/old interesting TV Series to watch that could appeal the Standard-Nerd. But I wrote them on my iPhone and for some reason the WordpressApp doesn’t work anymore. So you’ll have to bare with me until I get to write them anew.

Don’t worry though, I think I might be even re-writing them this weekend. It’s the only godforsaken time I don’t have to work anyway.

I gotta admit, in the last time, there wasn’t much work done on Portico. I’ve been stuck between doing work, keeping over the water and in the little free time, doing something for fun… like: Playing Anarchy Online – I really got to admit, I fell back a little into the MMORPG addiction thing, gladly without forgetting doing work, but then on the other hand, Portico is not exactly work, it’s a hobby project and rather consumes money than make. And honestly at the moment finances are a little low, so I set the project aside to some little work here and there.

Now don’t take that as a “I don’t work on Portico anymore”. I do! Bust just not as my main occupation right now, too much going on in real life. But I will try to keep you posted!

I’m not lusting to work. Its boring. A boring project which steals my last nerve, and it has to be finished by tomorrow. Yeah, that’s great. My shift is not long enough. I will have to finish this crap at home. I’m hungry.

Lazy Days

Another one of these lazy days where you sit at work, have a lot to do; But for some reason don’t want to do anything at all…

Familiar? Maybe not at work, but maybe while doing something on your project, or… whatever…

And oh… Does anyone of you remember the Song “Lazy Days” by an (ex-)forum member Luke Stafford? He went working on some addon for Battlefield Vietman or something… I dont remember. Anyway, I’ll try to upload that song. I don’t think he has anything against that. He even has them on his homepage for download. So I guess I can…

Starting Over (again)

So, some of you guys might (or might not) remember the old “3DGS Blog” which unfortunately got lost because my old provider out of the sudden stopped their services and gave me no notice. Naturally, I had no chance of making backups.

When someone gets bored at work because Firefox for some reason decided to crash every two minutes and the internet connection kind of also got weird today, that someone (in this case – Me) decides to start over with something that died some time ago; “Resurrection” if you like.

The first change you will notice in contrary to the original 3DGS Blog is, that it will not exclusively be directed to 3DGS, but also a bit of personal posting, opinions and much more. Furthermore, there will be regular “Reviews” of the week every Sunday instead of making a new entry every now and then for every tiny thing.

I hope you will enjoy this “fresh air” as much as I do. And perhaps you could give some more comments than it was the case with the old blog. Though it had many readers and views every day, I only had a handful of comments every now and then.
