Now, right now I am sitting in one of my banks hoping and waiting that they find a lost wire transfer. The story goes like this:

I moved from this bank a long time ago because they are really slow and they are amazingly slow and inexpirienced with international money transfers. But by accident, one of my older clients transferred a big amount of money to this potheads. At the same time I have to move to a new appartment and the last day that I can pay is today, in about 20 minutes. Additionally they turned off the power in my old appartment, so i’m kinda in a Murphy’s Law situation right now.

Anyway, no electricity = no Internet + no free wifi around. So if you are going to read this eventually: everything turned out fine. Only that I am mighty pissed.

Today, the German federal cabinet passed a new law to filter websites based on a secret list compiled by the Federal Criminal Police Office. The Federal Ministry of Family Affairs communicates the law as a remedy for the prevention of child pornography. While we strongly support any attempt to stop the abuse of humans and children in particular, we doubt that this is the real reason for the law.

For months, experts of all fields have impeached the facts and figures that were communicated by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs as well as the technical implementation of the filtering process. We mistrust the planned non-transparent process, we regard it as ineffective and amateurish and we believe it is counterproductive and a possible threat to democracy.

Since illegal sites on a list must be known beforehand, we urge the government to shut those sites down and prosecute the operators of those sites.

In times of a nationwide election campaign, we regard political populism as highly inappropriate when it should be about the fight against the abuse of minors.

Who would have thought that all these Science-Fiction movies about a total-control-government would some day become true. It’s sad, very sad that Germany is turning more and more into a state of total control. It’s almost like China and Great Britain combined.

Shivers me, it really does.

I keep frikin’ promising that I will soon have time. But you have to understand my current “employer”, shall I say rather “client”. He always comes up with some new idea, some new thing here, one tiny weenie little problem on that page and if I have some spare time maybe I can help on that other website.

I don’t say no, because he pay’s well and frankly I need the money.

And it is for YOUR benefit too. I am putting lots of money into Portico, paying modelers, programmers and other people to give me exactly what I need. Why? Because I’m picky and most people don’t tolerate pickiness without being paid. So I can’t get free models, sounds and stuff because people get angry at me for telling them the 5000th time to change this and that and make that little thingy there a little smaller.

What do I have in mind for keeping you entertained weekly? Originally I was planning on “Nerd TV”, weekly posts to give you some tip on what new/old interesting TV Series to watch that could appeal the Standard-Nerd. But I wrote them on my iPhone and for some reason the WordpressApp doesn’t work anymore. So you’ll have to bare with me until I get to write them anew.

Don’t worry though, I think I might be even re-writing them this weekend. It’s the only godforsaken time I don’t have to work anyway.

But as mentioned before: UNRELIABLE. I have seen myself waiting for over an hour and doing lots of calls to hear like five different excuses, of course all of them referring to someones elses fault, until I finally gave up.

It’s sad, and frankly a huge waste of my precious time. Even worse: they know it is.

In the words of Elliot Reid from Scrubs: “double frick on a stick with a brick”.

Now that I can blog more conviniently, I will blog more often – Stay tuned!

Got my iPhone today. Got it from ebay, used. It’s cool and it works. Only that the article was very, very literal. I only got the iPhone. No Accesories, no cables.

Now I had to order a iPhone USB cable so I can at least do anything…

What I wanna say with that is, I tried to updgrade the blog from 2.6.2 to 2.7 and it kinda messed everything. I had to deactivate all the plugins and themes before I got to see anything but a blank page.

I hope Google picks this up in case someone else saw all those other Google results and still is wondering why his blog doesn’t work: DISABLE THE WP-STICKY PLUGIN, it causes a conflict, because the new WP version already has a built-in sticky function.
