Behind Schedule

Oh snap! How I totally forgot about the blog. Big sorry fellas, for everyone who has been looking here. Got a bit busy the last days weeks and forgot about this whole thing, so again: Big apologies.

So, I promise that this Friday there’ll be a week review of new things that happened, focused on 3DGS.

Anyway; My project Portico got me a bit busy. As I don’t have the professional edition I have to work with some workarounds to get the perspective correction right. Mostly shaders - which I wanted to avoid - but still inside an considerable amount and not framerate dropping or anything. Which brings me to my glass shader which does work quite slow for some reason, I think I should check that again too.

Yeah, shaders. Quite a strange world for me, but working on it gets me deeper into the matter than trying to learn, and thats the was I’ve been learning all I am capable of today. Learning by doing - The way it’s meant to be learned. I mean… You learn all those things faster if you just try and see what happens and then KNOW what is going to happen when you do this and that. A lot better than some phrases in a Tutorial telling you to “not do this” and “Not do that” because it won’t help us on the thing we are trying to do. Well, I wanna know WHY it doesn’t help me in this thing.

So yeah well whatever. Portico might be actually my last 3DGS Project. But let’s not pin that to the wall. I will always stay in the forums. Teheheheh…
